Rebecca is a nice, nurturing and competitive coach that has a passion for seeing young kids succeed in athletics. Since childhood, swimming has been a constant in Rebecca’s life. She has competed and coached at many levels.
Rebecca started her coaching career as a Swim Lessons Instructor for the City of Fresno. In the summer of 2008, she began coaching for Clovis Swim Club. In 2015, Rebecca became the Head Coach for Fig Garden Swim Team. While living in Fresno, Rebecca has also been an Instructor/GA in the Kinesiology Department where she taught beginning swim courses, a volunteer coach for Fresno State Swim & Dive and she has three years experience coaching and participating in triathlon.
Rebecca received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Fresno. Her Master’s Thesis was on Long Term Athlete Development emphasizing the importance of swimming for life.
“It is not about making superstar 10 year olds that are burnout by the time they get to high school. We want to make good 10 years, great 15 year olds and superstar 18+ college athletes.
